Because we got through Queensland and southern NT quite quickly, and that a lot of things aren't opening until May, we have taken a fairly long rest in Katherine at the Discovery Park. We have a great site with plenty of shade, and right near the amenities block.

We'll be here for 5 nights and have used the time to really relax and plan out the next 3 weeks or so in the NT as we move through Katherine Gorge / Nitmiluk, Kakadu, Darwin and Litchfield National Park. This includes planning for Katelyn's visit to Darwin which we are both very excited about (as is Katelyn).

We also happened to meet Derek and Kathy from Victoria in the caravan park, who were planning to book a courtesy bus into the Katherine Club in town. In the end four couples went and we had a great evening. The club was very nice, the drinks were cheap (extended Happy Hour), and the food was great! Nicole and I had Lemon Pepper Crocodile for entree; absolutely delicious!
