There is a very interesting sculpture trail you can do around Mandurah (plus one in Subiaco) called the Giants of Mandurah. The creator, Thomas Dambo, is the world’s leading recycle artist. He was taught from a young age about the value of recycling, sustainability, and unlimited imagination. And so, to share that message and inspire people to get out into nature, he creates larger-than-life sculptures from recycled wood, and places them all over the world.
We only saw two of the giants as Nicole had a nasty cold and I wasn't far behind, plus the weather (as typical here) was pretty wet and awful. They are expected to be in place until the end of 2026, so maybe we can try to see a few more after we return to Perth to see Katelyn.
