Before Katelyn headed home from Perth, the three of us met Bruce (Nicole's friend from an earlier post), Michael (Bruce's partner) and Genius (their lovely Greyhound) for breakfast at City Beach. It's amazing how close these wonderful beaches are to the centre of Perth, and the weather was amazing. It was great getting the chance to see Michael, who we haven't seen for a long time. And great to meet Genius too.

We also visited Trigg beach where our Godson Lachlan once competed at the World Surf Living Championships!

The next day, on our way out of Perth, Nicole and I visited Subiaco — for a coffee and to see another wooden giant. Lovely place and very expensive to live in I would imagine.

Finally, we briefly visited Matilda Bay which had been able to see in the distance on our Kings Park visit. Another beautiful spot that Perth residents are very lucky to have in their back yard.
