After stopping at the Bowali Visitor Centre (main ranger station for Kakadu) to get some tips on what to see, we headed into Jabiru. It is essentially a mining town set in the national park, with not a great deal to see or do in the town itself. Our accommodation at Anbinik Kakadu Resort Caravan Park was nice though.
We topped up on groceries at the supermarket, however looking at their "fresh" fruit and vegetables reminded us again of the sacrifices to be made living in these remote locations.
For dinner we headed just across the road to another caravan park with a lovely poolside bistro where we both enjoyed local, wild barramundi for dinner.
