Nicole and I did a morning trip to the Darwin Wartime Museum while Katelyn had a well-earned sleep-in.

The interactive display was very well done, superimposing computer-generated recreations over original photos. A very powerful way to show how unprepared Darwin was for the attack and the devastating impact it had.

The positive side of things is that the attacks significantly accelerated Northern territory infrastructure development, in particular sealing the Stuart Highway.

And I never realised that bombings continued over Northern Australia for the next six months.
