We walked into town early in the morning to have a look around, did part of the River Walk, then back to the motorhome to pack up.

Then it was a visit to the RFDS (Royal Flying Doctor Service) base in Charleville where Maureen very kindly took us for a quick tour. It was really interesting to hear about how they coordinate such a vital service. Thanks very much Maureen!

We then visited the Cosmos Centre. Unfortunately, with the overcast skies we couldn't do the sun viewing and there wasn't going to be any star viewing for the next few evenings. So we took in a movie about our Solar System in their planetarium (very good) and Nicole bought some 'merch' (a nice blue shirt).

We had planned to stay at the Evening Star Tourist Park (just outside Charleville) for. few nights. However, once again due to cloudy weather and predicted rain, most of their activities wouldn't be running. So, we hopped in Knight Riders and headed for Quilpie, to get set up before the rain came.
